SWAIN runs on Google Cloud Run, which bills server time by the second. To make this easier for you, we convert usage into credits.
When Credits Are (and Aren’t) Used
Credits are only consumed when you deploy your development work onto SWAIN’s servers. That means:
- Using SWAIN hosting?
- Every time you run queries or interact with your deployed system on our cloud servers, credits are used.
- Prefer to self-host?
- You can download and deploy your build to your own servers. In this case, no credits are used — you’re running it entirely on your own infrastructure.
This flexibility means you’re in control:
- Use SWAIN hosting for speed, simplicity, and convenience.
- Or self-deploy to avoid credit usage entirely.
